Mind & Energy

What we believe about ageing shapes the life we live.

Hi, I’m Helena

For many years, I heard that as you get older, you become weaker, and that aches, stiffness and reduced mobility are simply part of life.

When I turned 60, I refused to believe I had to be more careful, rest more and move less.
That idea irritated me.

So I started learning more about how the body actually changes with age.

I listened to experts, talked to people who stay active later in life, and watched my dad, who turned 86 this year and still exercises, walks, goes fishing and digs the garden.

What I realised is that many things we believe about ageing are myths.

On this page, I look at the habits, beliefs, and mindset we carry about getting older.

Because what you believe about ageing reflects in the life you live.

What If Midlife Isn’t What You Think?

The ideas we grow up with about ageing don’t always match real life.
These posts share simple, honest ways to rethink old habits, see ageing differently, and create more space for yourself.

Ever feel like life is on autopilot?

Do you ever wonder why your days and weeks look the same?
Life filled with chores and routines, without even thinking that it could be different.
By the end of the day, you feel exhausted, ready for the sofa and the TV.

When was the last time you did something just for yourself? For your health, your body, your soul?

Years go by. Stop for a second and think.
You still have time to choose how you want to live.
Midlife is exactly what it says — the middle.
